We would like to thank the speakers and participants of the online webinar to support CSOs’ engagement in the key priority actions within transition to people-centred model of TB care in the EECA region for informative speech and active work during the event.

Within the webinar organized by the TB Europe Coalition in collaboration with the PAS Center and the WHO Regional Office for Europe on 3 September 2021:

  • Lela Serebryakova (PhDc, International Consultant) performed EECA Regional Policy Document “Transition to People-centred Model of TB Care: Role of Civil Society and Affected Communities” developed within the TB-REP2.0 (https://www.tbcoalition.eu/wp-content/uploads/2021/05/EECA-Policy-Document-on-Transition-to-People-centered-TB-care_ENG_FINAL.pdf);
  • Askar Yedilbayev (TB Team Lead, Joint Infectious Diseases Unit, Division of Country Health Programmes, WHO Regional Office for Europe) and Mariia Chuprynska (Program Manager, TB Europe Coalition) told about the best practice civil society and communities’ good practice for integrated response on TB/HIV and viral hepatitis and also discussed the practical steps to enhance civil society and communities’ meaningful engagement in the integrated response on communicable diseases;
  • Liliana Caraulan (Acting Director, Center for Health Policies and Studies (PAS Center)) presented in her speech common CRG barriers in EECA and describe role of civil society in removing human rights, gender, stigma and discrimination barriers to TB services.
