TBEC and UNICEF Ukraine are launching a project aimed at supporting health care services for mothers and children at Spilno Points and Centers for internally displaced people in Ukraine.
Within the framework of the project, TBEC will ensure the work of medical personnel in Spilno Сenters and Points in Vinnitsa, Dnepropetrovsk, Kyiv, Lvov, Poltava, Rivne, Sumy, Khmelnitsky, Cherkassy, Chernihiv, Chernovtsy and other regions of the country.
Thanks to the efforts of TBEC the clients of the Spilno Сenters and Points will be able to receive
health-related services, namely:
- Basic consultation by family doctor/nurse for children (upon the request and consent of parents) and adults,
- Screening of contagious diseases using brief questionnaires and check-ups when necessary,
- Referral to health care facilities for specialized treatment,
- Providing the necessary medical information about vaccinations, certificates, etc., as well as redirecting to the specialists for obtaining non-medical services relevant for a child or parents.
By the end of this year, it is expected to provide care to 100 000 children and their mothers affected by war including internally displaced families.
